In a homily at the Mass on March 25, 2023, the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord, the Most Rev Gabriel Edoe Kumordji, SVD, Bishop of Keta-Akatsi Diocese, reminded the faithful that the Word of God is a sword, water, seed, and life, therefore the need to avail their hearts to be touched by God’s word.

He continued that God wants to use them to bring his word to his people, yet often torn between choosing either material things or spiritual things as reflected in Isaiah 7:10-14 where God requested Ahaz to ask for a sign.

He congratulated the Jubilarians for choosing spiritual things and for availing themselves to be used by God and the congregation to serve mankind.

The Mass was presided over by the Most Rev Emmanuel Kofi Fianu, SVD, Bishop of Ho Diocese and concelebrated by Fr. Evans Akahoho, Dean of Krobo Deanery as well as Priests from Society of the Divine Word, Accra, Keta-Akatsi and, Koforidua Arch/Diocese.

In attendance were the Sisters of Handmaids of the Divine Redeemer who were also marking their feast day, the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord.

Earlier, Fr. Felix Tetteh Kwesi, the Parish Priest of St. Clement Quasi Parish, Nuaso in the Eastern Region welcomed the people of God.
