BHOBU Affiliate Groups Pour Out Congratulatory Messages as Prof. Vincent Boima Prepares to Deliver Inaugural Lecture

Affiliates of Bishop Herman Old Boys Union (BHOBU) in Ghana and around the world are pouring out congratulatory messages to Prof. Vincent Boima, a member of the 92/94 year of Bishop Herman College, as he prepares for Professorial Inaugural Lecture and Exhibition of Scholarly Works from Monday, May 11 to Thursday, May 15, 2026.

The inaugural lecture on May 14, 2026, is titled “From Genes to Mind: Holistic Pathways to Precision Kidney Care for Africa” at the Great Hall, University of Ghana.

Among the groups congratulating the BHOBU professor are Bishop Herman College (BIHECO) Scripture Union (Zion Fellowship), BHOLA GLOBAL (BHOBU–POGA), and Alumni of BIHECO St. Cyprian House Three (3).

In a citation, on behalf of the Bishop Herman College Scripture Union (Zion Fellowship), Bishop Derick D. Akubia, described Prof. Boima as a “man whose life exemplifies excellence in scholarship, integrity in service, and devotion to the advancement of knowledge for the good of humanity.”

The Citation noted that Prof.  Boima stands among the distinguished sons of Bishop Herman College whose journey reflects discipline, purpose, and a lifelong commitment to impact.

“As a medical scientist, physician, nephrologist, and scholar of high repute, Professor Boima has devoted himself to the noble calling of healing, research, and teaching.” It stated, adding, “His work in medicine reflects not only intellectual brilliance but also a compassionate heart that seeks the well-being of others, especially through his commitment to kidney health and precision care for Africa.”

It indicated that “Through his scholarly contributions, he has brought honour to his profession, relevance to his discipline, and hope to countless lives.”

“As a proud product of Bishop Herman College, Professor Boima embodies the enduring values of the school: excellence, discipline, service, and leadership,” the Bishop Herman College Scripture Union (Zion Fellowship) noted in its citation.

The Citation praised him as being a shining testimony that a strong foundation in character and faith can produce greatness in the academy, in public service, and in life, saying, “His achievements are not merely personal triumphs; they are a source of inspiration to students, colleagues, and all who aspire to live lives of meaning and influence.”

In a congratulatory message, BHOLA GLOBAL, a group of old students of BIHECO and OLA Girls, Ho (POGA), said in their Citation, proudly congratulated Prof.  Boima on the occasion of his Professorial Inaugural Lecture and Exhibition of Scholarly Works.

“Professor Boima’s remarkable achievements in medicine, academia, research, and leadership continue to inspire not only the Bishop Herman College fraternity but the nation at large,” said the congratulatory message issued on behalf of BHOLA by Harriet Grey, a POGA.

According to the message, “His dedication, humility, and commitment to excellence reflect the finest values of BIHECO.”

Beyond his distinguished professional accomplishments, Prof has remained a dependable pillar of support to the BHOLA Community. Anytime the group has called upon him to share his expertise, deliver a lecture, or support an initiative, he has never turned down the request.

His willingness to serve, guide, and educate has deeply impacted many within our community. BHOLA is forever grateful for your unwavering support, kindness, and exemplary leadership.

On its message, the Alumni of BIHECO St. Cyprian House Three (3) proudly celebrated and honoured Prof. Boima’s remarkable academic accomplishments, distinguished medical career, and invaluable contributions to nephrology, research, teaching, and healthcare advancement in Ghana, Africa, and beyond.

“Your dedication to scholarship, innovation, and compassionate medical practice continues to inspire generations of students and professionals,” the message issued by Louis Anthonio stated, adding that “Through your outstanding commitment to excellence, you have brought honour and prestige to BIHECO, St. Cyprian House Three, the medical fraternity, and the nation at large.”

According to the St. Cyprian House, “Your journey exemplifies discipline, perseverance, leadership, humility, and service to humanity… As an alumnus of this noble house, your achievements stand as a beacon of hope and motivation to both current students and fellow alumni.”

“May your work continue to impact lives, advance medical science, and shape the future of precision kidney care in Africa and beyond,” it concluded.
