The Bishop Herman Old Boys Union (BHOBU) Games 2026 Organising Committee has acknowledged receipt of GHS 13,060.00 from BHOBU North America in support of this year’s Games.
In a letter dated Monday, 7th September 2026, and signed by the Chairman of the Organising Committee, Sylvester Mintah, the committee expressed profound gratitude to the North America Chapter for responding to its appeal for support towards publicity for the Games.
“On behalf of the BHOBU Games 2026 Organising Committee, I would like to thank you for your response to our appeal for support towards the publicity of this year’s Games,” the letter stated.
Dr. John-Jeremiah Kretchy, President of the BHOBU North America Chapter, who made the presentation on behalf of the Chapter, noted that their token to support the 2026 BHOBU Games will go a long way to take care of some of the needs of the Planning Committee.
“We wish you well and thank you very much for all you do for BHOBU,” he added.
According to the Committee, the contribution comes at a crucial time as preparations intensify for the 10th Anniversary Edition of the Games, scheduled for Saturday, 19th September at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, which promises to be a memorable occasion for all BHOBUS and BIHECANS.
“We are very grateful for this contribution and for the confidence you have shown in the Organising Committee. Your support means a lot to us, especially as we prepare for the 10th Anniversary Edition of the Games,” Mr. Mintah noted.
The Organising Committee has assured that the funds will be used judiciously towards the event and its publicity activities, to ensure the contribution is put to good use in promoting BHOBU and Bishop Herman College (BIHECO).
“We assure you that the funds will be used judiciously towards the event and its publicity activities. We will do our best to ensure that your contribution is put to good use in promoting BHOBU and BIHECO, while helping us make this year’s Games a success,” the statement added.
The Committee further expressed appreciation for the continued support of BHOBU North America and looks forward to working together to make the 10th edition a resounding success.
