The Bishop Herman Old Boys Union North America (BHOBU-NA) will hold its 2026 BHOBU Congress and Fundraising Dinner Dance this weekend, May 16, 2026, at the Hilton Fairfax.
The event will bring together alumni of Bishop Herman College to a weekend of celebration, networking, and support for the organization’s mission.
The main Endowment Fundraising Dinner Dance at the Hilton Fairfax will be launched, featuring fine dining, music, entertainment and networking.

Dr. Mawuli Afenyo, the Outgoing Secretary to BHOBU – NA has noted that the purpose of the 2026 BHOBU Congress and Fundraising Dinner Dance is carefully designed to have a dedicated fund for projects in BIHECO.
“We want to have something for the future generation”, he noted.
He urged BHOBU,s POGAs, Friends and well wishers of BIHECO to come out in their numbers for a good cause.

They will be part of something historic and impacting to the next generation BIHECANS
This initiative aims to provide sustainable, long-term support for Bishop Herman College through scholarships, infrastructure development, academic programs, and alumni initiatives.
The initial fundraising target for this first phase is $200,000, with organizers expressing confidence it could reach $300,000 by the end the weekend.

Earlier this year the Bishop Herman Old Boys Union of North America (BHOBU, NA) sponsored the construction and commissioning of a Giant Gate and a significant facelift of the main entrance of the College
The Gate and Main Entrance Project was estimated at about 100,000 US Dollars was initiated and funded by the Bishop Herman Old Boys Union of North America (BHOBU, NA).

It features the main gate, a LED powered inscription of the school’s name, a security post and an accompanying flag garden.
Speaking at a short ceremony to hand over the gate, Dr. James Doh, who is the President of BHOBU-NA, expressed profound gratitude to all donors especially members of the Past Ola Girls Association..
Bishop Herman College, also known as BIHECO, was founded on 28th February 1952 and is the first Catholic Boys’ Secondary School in the Volta Region. Built on Roman Catholic principles, the College has produced graduates who have excelled in virtually every sector of Ghanaian society and abroad. The College celebrated its 73rd Anniversary in February 2025.
