The BHOBU STEM Foundation has donated one iPad and six Chromebooks to Bishop Herman College ( BHC) to strengthen the school’s National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) Academy ahead of the season.
The devices were presented on Thursday, June 25, 2026 and received on behalf of the Headmaster by Rev. Fr. Prosper Kwaku, Chaplain of Bishop Herman College.
Also present was Mr. Peter Agbotui, Coordinator of the BIHECO NSMQ Academy.
The donation was made by Snr. member of Bishop Herman Old Boys Union (BHOBU) Rev. Fr. Dr. Paul Agbodza, BHOBU 85-87 6th Form.
Fr. Agbodza previously served as BHC Chaplain from 1996 to 2001, Board Chairman of Bishop Herman College from 2010 to 2016, and BHOBU Council of Elders from 2019 to 2023.

This support follows an urgent appeal by the leadership of the BHOBU STEM Foundation led by Mr. Lawrence Adoboe, President of the BHOBU STEM Foundation, and subsequent discussions with Fr. Agbodza. The Academy had initially requested 12 desktops and six laptops to improve its digital capacity for training and research.
Speaking at the handover, stakeholders expressed gratitude for the gesture.
“May the good Lord bless and replenish Rev. Fr. Paul’s kind donation severalfold. May He grant him good health and long life in Jesus’ Mighty name. Amen,” they stated.
The device donation comes shortly after the Foundation’s recent presentation of a set of STEM books to the Academy.
The books were received by school management and handed over to the NSMQ coordinators.
According to the Foundation, the NSMQ coordinators and teachers are currently sourcing links from online shops for additional titles they have researched. Procurement will continue once feedback is received.

In the meantime, the Foundation says its immediate campaign focus is to secure 12 desktop computers in addition to a NASCO 2.5/3HP Air Conditioner for the Academy.
About the BHOBU STEM Foundation
The BHOBU STEM Foundation is the STEM-focused initiative of the Bishop Herman Old Boys Union [BHOBU].
Its mandate is to support digital learning, provide technology resources, and fund academic programs that position Bishop Herman College for excellence in STEM and national competitions like NSMQ.
Since its establishment, the Foundation has prioritized bridging the technology gap for students through device donations, lab support, and mentorship initiatives in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
