Capt. David Kwabla Kudzordzi, the President of St. Augustine Commandery #630, Ashaiman in the Accra East Grand Commandery, of the Knights of the Knights of St. John International has achieved the globally respected Facilities Management Professional (FMP) credential awarded by the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), USA.
The Knights of St. John International (KSJI) is celebrating this outstanding achievement by one of its distinguished members.
The certification is a significant milestone for Capt. Kudzordzi, whose career in facilities management spans more than twelve years of proven excellence across commercial, retail and public sector properties in Ghana.
The achievement has been described by admirers and associates as well-deserved, reflecting years of dedication, discipline and continuous professional growth.

Capt. Kudzordzi began his career in facilities management in 2014 with Broll Ghana Limited as a Facilities Officer.
In that role, he developed expertise in maintenance coordination, vendor management and building operations while overseeing services at major properties including the ePROCESS Building for Ecobank Ghana Limited and the Maxmart Family Shopping Centre.
From October 2015 to May 2018, he served as the pioneer Facilities Manager at the Law Courts Complex, where he delivered facilities management services for the Judicial Service of Ghana.
His work ensured uninterrupted operations within one of the nation’s most sensitive institutions while strengthening his skills in stakeholder management, planning and service delivery.
In June 2018, Capt. Kudzordzi was appointed Operations Manager for a Grade A Standard Chartered Bank Building, a role he continues to hold.
He currently oversees the strategic and day-to-day management of the premier commercial property, which hosts multinational and high-profile tenants including Standard Chartered Bank, Google, Newmont Ghana Limited, African Towers Limited, and MobileMoney Fintech Ltd.
His responsibilities include operational strategy, maintenance and repairs, sustainability initiatives, tenant relations, health and safety compliance, regulatory standards, and vendor performance management.
In December 2022, he successfully coordinated the building’s EDGE Certification, highlighting his commitment to environmentally sustainable and efficient facilities operations.
Capt. Kudzordzi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi.
He now adds the internationally recognized FMP credential to an already distinguished professional profile.
Speaking to Newswatchgh.com, Capt. Kudzordzi described the achievement as a reflection of his journey in the industry.
“Having worked in the facilities management industry for the past twelve years, I see this achievement as a powerful reflection of the journey, effort and experience I have built over time. It is a reminder that consistency and commitment truly pay off,” he said.
He explained that pursuing the certification was motivated by his desire to deepen his knowledge and align himself with global best practices.
“This achievement means growth, resilience and validation of my commitment to excellence. It is not just a credential, but a milestone that reflects dedication, discipline and purpose in my professional journey,” he added.
Offering advice to young professionals, he urged continuous learning and self-investment.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Capt. Kudzordzi is an active member of the Knights of St. John International and currently serves as the Worthy President of St. Augustine Commandery #630, Ashaiman.
