The Past OLA Girls Association (POGA), Greater-Accra Chapter, is set to host the 2026 edition of its popular potluck gathering under the theme “The Clock-It Edition” – a call to show up, get involved and make every moment count.
The event, dubbed POGA Potluck 2026, will come off on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the Police Fitness and Social Centre, Cantonments, Accra.
According to the organisers, the potluck goes beyond food to foster sisterhood, wellness and cultural pride.
“We chose a potluck because food brings people together, evokes memories and allows us to celebrate our Ghanaian culture,” the Potluck Team explained.
Beyond the usual games and excursions, the event features a year-group cooking competition designed to encourage creativity, teamwork and friendly rivalry.

“Importantly, the platform also promotes local dishes, celebrates Ghanaian culinary heritage, supports local vendors and stimulates small businesses,” said Patience Garrey-Dogbe, a member of the Potluck Team.
She said this year’s edition stands out for its expanded activities and inclusivity.
“What makes POGA Potluck 2026 stand out is the exciting mix of activities and the level of participation,” said Melody Gobah of the Potluck Team.
Activities for the day include a potluck buffet and inter-house games, a cooking competition, a health talk and screening, a dip-and-paint session, and brand engagement sessions.
Children will also be catered for with a dedicated Kidz Zone featuring bouncy castles, popcorn, cotton candy and face painting.
“This edition is designed to be more interactive and inclusive, creating opportunities for BHOBU-POGA members and their families to reconnect, support local businesses and strengthen our bonds of camaraderie,” added Etornam Perpetual of the Potluck Team.
The team noted that at a time when careers, families and other responsibilities make it difficult to stay connected, the potluck offers a welcoming outdoor gathering for members to reconnect through food sharing, wellness, entertainment and networking.

Touching on preparations, the organizers described the journey as one of passion, perseverance and learning.
“Like every new initiative, we have faced challenges with funding, securing broader leadership support and encouraging individuals and year groups to actively participate,” said Jemima Osai, a member of the Potluck Team.
“Every growing initiative needs time, commitment and collective support to thrive and we encourage all to come on board. POGA Potluck belongs to all of us, and with everyone’s support, we can make each edition better than the last,” said Patience Lorlornyo Asigbetse of the Potluck Team.
The team extended an invitation to all past students.
“To our members who may not be able to join us, you will certainly be missed. You remain an important part of our POGA family. Please stay connected. And to everyone who will be joining us, come ready to reconnect, participate and create beautiful memories. Let’s show up, turn up the energy and make every moment count,” the team said.
Participants at the event will feature Bishop Herman Old Boys
